Gwen Agias is a licensed physical therapist based in New York City. He currently sees patients at the Columbus Circle office of Chung Ying Physical Therapy & Acupuncture. Prior to his current practice, Gwen has had over 7 years of clinical experience working at various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, home care, and sports.

Gwen earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Cebu Doctors’ University. As part of his training, Gwen completed his clinical internship at the Philippine General Hospital in the neuro/stroke department, focusing on the rehabilitation and motor relearning of post-stroke patients.

Gwen is a knowledgeable physical therapist, skilled at numerous treatment techniques, including neuro rehabilitation Carr and Shepherd approach, electrostimulation, Functional Movement Screen (FMS), functional training, manual therapy, Kinesio Taping, and therapeutic exercises. He is experienced in treating a wide range of conditions, such as sports injury, stroke, muscle pain, joint pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff injuries, and post-surgical orthopedic conditions etc.

Gwen is devoted to ensuring the longevity of his patients' health and developing long-lasting relationships with them. Gwen always takes his time to understand his patients’ symptoms and give correct diagnoses to establish the continued health of all his patients. In the meantime, Gwen is fluent in English, Tagalog, and Cebuano. He is proud to provide cultural sensitive care to patients from different cultural backgrounds.
